The Elderberry Vinegar was prepared with fresh black elderberries (Sambucus canadensis) steeped in organic apple cider vinegar with blue lace agate stone essence.
Elderberries are a moistening, neutral temperature berry that have a reputed benefit for the immune system. They are also high in antioxidants & vitamin C. Preparing this infused vinegar with fresh ingredients means that no vitamin C or antioxidants were damaged during the preparation & live preserved in this bottle. Blue lace agate stone essence was added to support the immune system, Throat Chakra & encourage lymph movement.
This is quite the tangy brew. Elderberries are not known to be sweet (unless you're indulging in Elderberry Syrup of course). They are, however rather savory, slightly tangy on their own & particularly rich & full of the 6th taste "umami". Elderberries lend themselves particularly well to a vinegar infusion.
What to do with Elderberry Vinegar? Well anything you'd otherwise do with vinegar of course! You are certainly welcome to add 1 tablespoon to a glass of water & drink before meals to stimulate the digestion & support the immune system. Otherwise you can use the vinegar in the preparation of vinaigrette & marinades.
